Good afternoon!
August is fast approaching, which means students will be flooding Auburn's campus once again which is so very exciting to me!
With that being said, I wanted to go ahead and invite you to our Church Fair at the Baptist Campus Ministry of Auburn University. This year, our church fair will be held on Tuesday, August 27th immediately following Rooted Worship. Churches will be set up at a table, and we will provide a table for you to set up at. We will line churches up down the hallway and students will exit through the kitchen, so they have to walk past you all before they exit the building. We find a church fair is so important and vital to college students because it is a way we can introduce them to several churches at one time and they can decide on a local church in the Tuskegee-Lee area quickly. We want our students to be involved in and deeply connected to one of our local churches.
Things for You to Note:
1. Please RSVP to Kennedi Kruger at kkruger@alsbom.org OR by calling her at 931.510.8609 by August 20th. I'll send out a reminder email about this on August 15th.
2. You will need to bring any type of promo material from your church (flyers, cups, pens, frisbee, candy, etc.).
3. Please send no more than 2 representatives from your church. We are inviting several churches to the church fair and have limited space. Between students, BCM staff, and Church reps the building will fill up very quickly and get hot very fast.
4. Please be at the BCM by 7:30pm to set up your table. You can come earlier to join us for dinner at 6pm, we would love to have you! We are looking at the church fair beginning around 8/8:15pm and lasting until 9/9:15pm, maybe a little longer than that depending on student interest.
I am so excited to see how God moves this upcoming school year in the lives of these students.
Please join us in praying for college students using the acronym BCM:
B - Boldness with their faith and the sharing of the Gospel while at home, interning, serving abroad, taking classes, etc.
C - Compassionate hearts for the lost, eyes to see them and hearts yearning for them to know Jesus as Lord and Savior
M - Momentum in their pursuit of God. It is easy for us to grow complacent and lazy when we become busy. Pray our students would continue to grow in momentum in their pursuit of Christ, sharing the Gospel, and growing in personal discipleship.
