My name is Sara Bevly. I am excited to take on this new role of WMU Director for the Tuskegee Lee Baptist Association.
I am originally from Talladega, AL. I grew up attending Hepzibah Baptist Church where I was first introduced to missions. My exposure began with participating in GA’s and Acteens and has grown into a love for missions over the last 10 years or so. I have been provided opportunities to serve on short-term mission trips to Mexico, Honduras, Haiti, Uganda, Northern Africa and most recently El Salvador.
My husband Dave and I are members of First Baptist Opelika and share this love for missions. I serve as the Director of FBCO’s WMU, serve on our Missions Committee, and with our Widows’ Ministry.
Our first task is to update our contacts for the missions’ leaders for each church. Please submit the names and contact information (cell phone number and email) for anyone in your church working with or has an interest in working with the following organizations:
Mission Friends, GA’s, RA’s, Children in Action, Acteens, Challengers, Youth on Mission, Churchwide WMU, Women on Mission, my Mission, Adults on Mission or any other mission organization we may have missed
My vision for this role is to connect our missions’ endeavors as an association, provide resources for implementing and growing missions and to connect churches with local, national and international ministries. I look forward to collaborating with you to grow the exposure to and support of missions. I would love to get to know you.
We are hosting a meet and greet event on May 20th from 5:30 to 7 for ladies interested in and/or involved in missions in your church. I look forward to working with you all.
Sara
